KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan today, Tuesday in its accountability program announced the collection of 135 billion Afghanis from taxes by the Ministry per year.
in a meeting held at the government’s information and media center, Finance Minister Mullah Hidayatullah Badri said, In the past year, the Ministry has collected 70 billion Afghanis in customs and 65 billion Afghanis in tax and non-tax revenues.
The ministry was able to provide the budget for the 1401 fiscal year, which is 231 billion Afghanis, without foreign aid, from domestic revenues, Badri added.
He said that after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan regained control of the country, in the first few weeks, the Ministry of Finance resumed all its systems and centralized all revenues, as well as reduced the level of corruption to zero, brought administrative reforms, and economically improved itself.
Meanwhile, the head of the Customs Revenue department of the Ministry, Meraj Mohammad Meraj, said in his speech that this department has collected about 65 billion Afghanis in tax and non-tax revenue in a year and it will increase even more by the end of the current year.
According to the statements of the Ministry of Finance, eight companies resumed their activities.
The Ministry of Finance has hired hundreds of professionals through open competition and is planning to promote 1058 other positions in which qualified and professional people will be hired open competition.
